My Canterbury Trip

Firstly my view of the beautiful white flowers, on way to bus stop.

Then on the journey I saw again two Little white Egrets, one each side of the narrow road at Ickham on the dykes.

In the Cathedral I sat in the Crypt for a while after lighting candles in memory of my dear late mother and brother. I just love sitting in this peaceful place, thinking about all my loved ones that have passed on, and also of departed pals.
I went to my favourite coffee shop Pre-a-Manger, where I love to sit and partake in a mug of tea and a bakewell tart. Delicious.
I then walked to St. Dunstan's Church at the Westgate tower end of the city, where Henry II paid his penance for uttering the well known words, "will someone rid me of this turbelent priest", meaning Saint Thomas Beckett. Of course we know his knights murdered Thomas in the cathedral having rode from Saltwood Castle to perform the deed. It is said ~Henry crawled on his kness from St. Dunstan's Church to the Cathedral gates, along the stretch known as The King's Mile, the lane that lies parallel with the main street of shops.
